​Shawn Martin is a mixed media artist and native Texan having recently moved to rural Sanger.  She feels art is more of a “calling” to bring light, understanding and inspiration to others through her handmade journals, art, and teaching.  She works with a team, The Creative Crew, facilitating art as a “door” for the ministry of the Holy Spirit, bringing freedom and revelation of the love of God.  She has been pursuing art and creativity more in the last 10 years while being inspired by nature, online and in-person art classes, and mentors.  She has designed and sold over 150 handmade journals using fabrics, leather, and repurposed materials.  She loves giving vintage items new life and purpose in collage art and junk journals, and coined the phrase, “Junk journals aren’t junky, they’re funky
