Watercolor artist Jackie Haugen is a member of the Visual Art League of Lewisville, TX, Visual Art Society of Texas, and Southwestern Watercolor Society of Dallas, TX. She has studied at Texas Woman’s University and the University of North Texas as a watercolor major. She has been painting 30 years and has won numerous awards including Best of Show and People’s Choice awards several times. In 2006, Palette magazine chose her painting Pot BAR in an article about imaginative artists. Her style is impressionistic, and Jackie strives to paint loosely, watching what happens on the paper and allowing the water and paint to flow together creating its own marks on the paper. She enjoys painting for others and works tirelessly with her clients to produce their memories by listening to their ideas and thoughts. Their memories become her memories. Jackie paints in her studio in her home in Highland Village and her work can also be seen at Indigo Art and Framing in Flower Mound, TX.
