Sue Melton has been creating clay art for over a decade after retiring from public school teaching. She and her husband moved to Gunter, TX in 2021, where she built her own studio. Sue's grandmother was an artist and has always been an inspiration. Chris Gray, Jason Hyde, Jillian Cooper, Jen Rose, Melba Northum and Kristin Erickson have been her excellent teachers.

Sue enjoys the challenges of wheel throwing, hand building, and sculpture. Her work has been described as whimsical and fun, and she strives for it to appear organically clean, creating functional and decor pieces. Sue is grateful to be part of the Vantage Point Art Gallery collective.
