In this stand-alone graphite drawing class, young artists ages 9 and up will sharpen their observation skills by drawing a detailed still life of a sneaker.

With step-by-step instruction, students will learn how to accurately map proportion, create clean edges, and build realistic shading using graphite pencils and blending tools.

Photo inspiration and the sneaker reference will be provided, allowing students to focus on technique, patience, and accuracy.

The class emphasizes careful seeing, smooth value transitions, and soft shadows, resulting in a polished black-and-white drawing on a clean white background, completed and ready to take home.

Supplies needed: Drawing pad, 4H through 4B graphite pencils, kneaded eraser, pencil sharpener, tortillon. Available for purchase or bring your own.
