Jackie Haugen will be teaching a still life watercolor painting class with set-up for both beginner and intermediate students. Please refer to the supply list below for what supplies to bring with you. Cost is $35 for the 3 hour class.

Watercolors in pans or tubes - don’t buy cheapest you will not be happy with your work

• Suggestions for colors- Rose madder or Permanent Rose, alizarin crimson, Cadmium yellow, lemon yellow, ultramarine blue, cobalt blue, Sap green, burnt sienna, burnt umber

Paper

140# cold press or watercolor block ( avoid Strathmore brand)

• Suggestion for paper, if you can find it at your local Walmart, there is a table of 50 sheets of paper called Bee Inspired watercolor paper for $10. It gives you a lot of paper for small price and is good quality. 

Palette- largest you can afford with a cover (old antique deviled egg plates work too, can cover with plastic wrap)

Everyday tools

• Pencils, soft gum eraser or kneaded eraser, paper towels , sketchbook, support board ( foam core or gatorboard, optional – masking fluid optional, container for water to wash brushes between colors (ideas are jars, cool whip containers, any plastic disposable container that is large enough to wash out brushes)
