Art lives forever. Make this Valentine’s Day Special with an Alla Prima Oil Painting of someone you love on a 16” by 20” canvas. 

This technique consists of applying wet paint on wet paint. It is a fast-paced and fun way to create an impressionist works of art. Beginners to intermediate students welcomed!

Participants must bring to the workshop several reference headshots photographs to choose from for the oil painting. The best reference photographs are color photographs that show different skin tones for the highs, shades, and cast shadows on the face.

This hands-on-workshop will focus on mixing and applying skin colors as well as painting hair, eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. The instructor will work one-on-one with each participant and demonstrate the technique. Remember to dress to paint with oil colors.

All materials are provided. Cost is $125 for the full-day class. 9:30am-4:30pm with lunch break as required. Teenagers and adults welcomed.
