ABOUT THE GALLERY
Vantage Point Art Gallery is located on the courthouse square in downtown Gainesville, Texas. The gallery was started with a vision to provide a brick and mortar space for visual artists in Gainesville and surrounding areas to display their work and offer a place of community for creatives.

VANTAGE POINT
107 West California Street has a rich history on the square in Gainesville dating back to 1885 when the building held a saloon and billiards hall on the first floor.
The building has spanned a number of businesses through the years with Farrar's Shoe Store operating from 1950-1979. The neon sign for Farrar's is still present inside the gallery, as well as tiled front door entry noting "SHOES". Recent memory of 107 West California was The Bee Hive Gift Shop, which operated there for 10 years, and then Hometown Locker & Print Shop.
Vantage Point is grateful to the history of this building and excited to be its present and future. An art gallery adds its unique touch to the space, and we invite you to come and see.
